Question: Received a DUI in Burbank that I am going to court for. Before the first DUI hearing, I picked up a driving without a license charge, with a court date in Van Nuys. Will this affect my DUI case? I actually have a valid drivers license. Just didn’t have it on me at the time. Will the disturbing the peace
Answer: In short, no, the subsequent 12500 driving without a license charge in Van Nuys will not affect your DUI case in Burbank. First, I have had success getting 12500 charges completely dismissed, so call me if you have questions about that case. Additionally, although the prosecutor may see the new charge and try to factor that in against you in the “plea agreement negotiations,” a good DUI attorney should be able to negate that. Feel free to call me about both cases if you would like to.
