Question: What would be my best way to defend a second DUI without a San Fernando DUI attorney? My first DUI was in Van Nuys not to long ago. Didn't have a Van Nuys DUI attorney on that case and thinking I messed up.
Answer: Defending a DUI is very technical and there are a lot of potential variables from case to case. I would recommend discussing your case in more detail with an experienced DUI attorney. Some questions that would need to be answered to even begin advising include, 1. Was there a conviction already of the first Van Nuys DUI., 2. Were you on probation at the time of the arrest for the 2nd DUI (if you were convicted a few months ago for the first Van Nuys DUI, then you were likely on probation). 3. Was your license suspended still from the first Van Nuys DUI (if there was a DUI conviction)? 4. Why were you pulled over to begin with? 5. Did you perform any breath or blood tests….etc. etc.. Feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss further.
In short, I HIGHLY recommend consulting with and having a DUI attorney represent you on this 2nd DUI in San Fernando. Also, if your first Van Nuys DUI is still pending, retain a DUI attorney for that as well. I would be happy to handle both DUI matters for you.
