Question:  Do they make Tarzana DUI arrests at road blocks?
Answer: By road block, I assume you are referring to DUI check points. It is possible that they could run a DUI checkpoint in Tarzana, CA. DUI checkpoints can be run by different Arresting agencies.  For example, by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, Los Angeles Police Department, or the California Highway Patrol.
Were you stopped at a checkpoint? Why do you ask?
If you were stopped at  DUI checkpoint, when was it?  It is important that you contact a DUI lawyer as soon as possible to discuss your case in more detail.
Specifically, there is only 10 days from the date of your arrest to request a DMV hearing and get a new temporary license while the case is pending.
I can certainly help you out with this.  DUI checkpoints are often good cases to fight since the prosecutor is missing an important element.  Essentially, they did not see any poor driving to begin with.

    I am not the person who originally asked about this, but came across it when searching the internet. I was recently stopped at a checkpoint that I didn’t know anything about until I rolled up to it. I was then told to pull up to one officer. Then told to go to the next officer who asked me questions about drinking. I admitted to drinking and had to do field sobriety tests and a breath test. The rest is history. Was arrested and have a court date coming up.
    How can they do checkpoints? Isn’t that an invasion of privacy? I did nothing to warrant getting pulled over, other than driving on the road where the dui checkpoint was.
    Would like more info on this if you have time. Thanks.

    DUI checkpoints are legal if the agency running the checkpoint meets the necessary protocol to do so. And although it may seem like an invasion of privacy, the Court does not agree.
    That being said, checkpoint cases can be attacked by way of an improper checkpoint and not meeting the necessary factors, as well as other DUI defenses that can come into play.
