Classes if conviction for DUI?

Question:  Will I eventually be asked to attend some kind of classes if conviction for DUI?  My DUI is in Burbank but I live in Reseda, CA.  Can I do classes in Reseda or does it have to be in Burbank, CA?  Also, what do the classes consist of?  I work regularly and can’t take a few hours off in the middle of the day to do a class or else I will probably lose my job.
Can I do classes on the weekend?  How do they expect me to get to the class if my driver license is suspended?
Answer: If there is a DUI conviction, then you would be required to do an alcohol. The length of the alcohol class can vary depending on the disposition of the case and any possible enhancements that may be accompanying the DUI conviction. Alcohol class lengths can vary from 3 months up to 18 months (and in some situations, 30 months).
Also, if there was a DUI conviction and you had to do one of the alcohol classes, they are offered throughout L.A. County and you could find a course near your work or school.  Also, most alcohol program schools in L.A. offer classes on weeknights as well as week nights.  Generally you pick the time available that works best for your schedule.
Is this a first DUI, Second DUI, Third DUI…?  Once I know more info about your case I can better explain what you can anticipate if you are convicted of a DUI.  Of course, it may be possible to get your DUI dismissed or reduced to a lesser offense.   Unfortuantely, the Court and DMV is not too concerned with how you get to the class, but it is possible in most situations to get a restricted license down the road.  The length of a driver license suspension and potential eligibility for a restricted license depends on some variable factors with yoru specific case.
