Dui and speeding ticket in van nuys

Question: I got pulled over for speeding in van nuys then was arrested for dui. The cop didn’t charge me for the speeding ticket though, only the dui. Is this legit? Can I get the dui dismissed?
Answer: Just because the officer didn’tcharge you with the speeding on the citation is not grounds for dismissal of the dui. There may be other grounds for dismissal of the dui. Further, speeding is not a general indicator of driving under the influence.  So as long as the alleged speeding is not excessive, then this could be more favorable in front of a jury than, for example, weaving into other lanes.
