Did not complete DUI classes

Question: What can I do now for my DUI court date for missing classes? I was convicted last year and supposed to do DUI classes. I signed up but did not complete. My case is in Santa Clarita, Los Angeles.
Answer: You need to try to get some compassion from the Judge/commissioner. It can be helpful to have an attorney handle this. I have handled these matters post conviction and was able to convince Judge that client was taking the matter seriously, and just needs an extension (as opposed to getting thrown in jail for a probation violation).
