Lamar Odom arrested for DUI

Basketball star Lamar Odom was arrested earlier this morning in the San Fernando Valley for DUI after allegedly driving slow on the freeway.  Odom was stopped near the Sepulveda and 101 freeway (actually right near my office).  Reports are stating he was driving approximately 50 mph on the freeway, as well as potentially driving in a serpentine manner.   After being arrested, it is alleged that Odom refused to complete a chemical test.  This allegation can result in additional penalties, including a potential 1 year hard license suspension if convicted of a first offense DUI refusal.
Odom has been in the public eye lately, not for his skills on the court, but for the personal issues he is having with his marriage and alleged drug use issues.  It is reported that Odom posted a $15,000 bond to be released from jail and has a court date in Van Nuys on Sept. 27th.
