Question: Am I considered a felon if I have two DUIs on my record? One DUI in Van Nuys, and the other DUI in San Fernando. Would hiring a DUI attorney now help?

Answer: If your DUI convictions were only misdemeanors, then no, they would not change to a felony simply because there are 2 DUI convictions. Most 1st and 2nd offense DUI’s are misdemeanors, Unless there was an accident causing bodily injury on one or both of the DUI’s. There should not be any need for you to hire a DUI attorney to deal with these prior DUI convictions, unless you want to withdraw a plea or appeal a DUI conviction. If either of those are the cases, then call me at 818-336-1DUI and we can discuss some potential options.
