Question: Do I have to start my case over if I get another DUI attorney? The case is already in pretrial in San Fernando Court.

Answer: If you get a new DUI attorney in San Fernando for your case, the new DUI attorney can either proceed from the point you are already at, or they may request a continuance in order to prepare for the case. It really depends on the situation. For example, I have been hired to replace another DUI attorney just as trial was about to begin. In that situation, I requested a continuance in order to prepare for the trial.
