Question: I have a Van Nuys DUI arraignment coming up. Am I better off moving it to Santa Clarita Court?

Answer: It doesn’t actually work like that. You can’t just request your arraignment court location to move for your convenience. You (or your privately retained attorney) will have to appear at Van Nuys court on your arraignment date. If the DUI is charged as a misdemeanor, you will be in dept. 103. Plus, in my opinion, you are better off being in Van Nuys Court than Santa Clarita anyways.
