I was charged with an infraction minor in possession charge, 25662(a). If convicted, will my license be affected?

Question: I was charged with an infraction minor in possession charge, 25662(a). If convicted, will my license be affected?

Answer: Yes. If convicted of 25662(a) B&P – minor in possession, your license will be suspended by the DMV for 1 year.  If that occurs there may be a possibility of getting a critical needs license which would allow you to drive for limited purposes.

I highly recommend hiring an attorney to challenge this charge. I have been successful in fighting cases like this, getting charges dismissed, and avoiding a license suspension all together.
