Question: Is it normal to be fired for a DUI? I was convicted with DUI in San Fernando, CA.
Answer: I have heard of this, particularly where the job duties entail driving. I have had situations where clients were driving, and they informed me that if they had a wet reckless conviction they would not get fired, but would get fired if they were convicted of a DUI. I have been able to get even bad cases reduced to wet recklesses many times. You should consider getting an expungement to help avoid this issue in the future. I can be reached through philhachelaw.com and have successfully expunged DUI’s in the past. Feel free to contact me to discuss in further detail.
