DUI fine in Los Angeles, CA

Question: I was charged with a DUI in San Feranndo after being arrested a couple nights ago.  I see those signs that say a DUI costs like $10,000.  I am trying to limit this situation as much as I can.  What is the best way to lower a DUI fine in Los Angeles, CA?  Will going to AA meetings help me show the Judge that I am taking things seriously and maybe there would not be a fine at all?
